Total cost over 3 years: what you really pay
The monthly fee is misleading. A provider with a lower fee can end up more expensive once you buy a €150 device and pay for installation. So we calculated the total cost over 36 months for one vehicle: fees + device + installation (where published). For each provider we take the cheapest published option, excluding subsidised bundles tied to a specific device.

Why SaveTrack is cheaper – and what you do not lose
The lower price does not come from cutting features. The basic €6 includes position every 60 seconds while driving, an automatic trip log with business and private trips, export for your accountant, refuelling and fuel theft checks, zones, e-mail alerts and a SIM card with roaming across Europe. Europe costs nothing extra – several competitors charge €4 to €6 more per month for the EU.
We save elsewhere: the price list is public, ordering is online and you plug in the OBD unit yourself in seconds, so there is no technician to pay. And the price goes down with loyalty – €5 in the second year, €4 from the third. Usual contracts work the other way round.
One more thing you will not find in competitors' price lists: positions and routes are encrypted with the customer's key. Even we cannot read them without your password.
What to watch out for when comparing prices
1. "From" prices. The lowest fee is often for Slovakia only, with a position every few minutes or without a trip log. Ask what exactly is included.
2. Prepayment and commitment. A €4 or €5.50 price often applies only when you pay 24 months upfront or sign a commitment. Sell the car and the money is gone.
3. Device and installation. €150 for the unit and €40 for installation is more than a year of fees for a single vehicle.
4. Roaming. If the vehicle drives to Czechia, Austria or Germany, check that the EU is included.
