GPS monitoring comparison

SaveTrack as an alternative to Infocar – a price you can see up front

Infocar has been on the market since 1999 and is one of the best-known Slovak GPS companies. You won't find the monitoring price on its website though – only that a device can be had for €1 and that the monthly fee has no hidden charges. SaveTrack publishes its price: €6/month, device included with annual payment, no lock-in.

You don't have to email for a price

Infocar does not publish its monitoring price. You learn it after contacting a salesperson, so you can only compare offers once you are already in a negotiation.

SaveTrack's price list is public: €6/month, €5 in year two, €4 in year three. The device is €60, or included if you pay annually. None of it has to be requested.

„A device from €1“ – and then what?

Infocar advertises a device for €1 but states neither the conditions for getting it that way nor the monthly fee. With offers like these the catch is usually in the contract length.

Our condition is written down: with annual payment the device is included, it stays ours for 24 months and after two years you buy it for €1 excl. VAT. No lock-in.

You know what is fitted in your vehicle

Infocar names neither the brand nor the model of its units. For hardware meant to spend years in a vehicle, that is fairly important information.

SaveTrack uses Teltonika FMC880, FMC920 and OBD FMC003 – specific models you can look up yourself.

A long history versus modern data protection

To be fair: Infocar has been trading since 1999, and that is something a new company cannot buy.

What it does not state is data encryption. SaveTrack stores positions, routes and the trip logbook always encrypted, keeps the keys separately, and gives every customer their own.

Who SaveTrack suits better

If you want to compare prices before picking up the phone, and to know exactly which device gets fitted and what happens to your data, SaveTrack is the more direct choice.

€6/month, device included with annual payment, Europe and SIM included, no lock-in.
